Description
Catskill Veterinary Services, PLLC is a mixed animal veterinary practice founded in 2012. Originally a house/farm call only practice the group has grown to three full time veterinarians and fourteen support staff members. Our practice services Sullivan, Orange, Ulster, Delaware, Pike, and Wayne Counties.
In August 2017, we opened a brand new small animal veterinary hospital equipped with all the tools you need to practice quality veterinary medicine. We are a completely paperless practice utilizing Impromed as our medical record
program. Our practice has true digital radiography (dental and full body), brand new ultrasound machine (3 probes), full in-house idexx lab(cbc/chem/coagulation, sedi-view machine) , in house bacteria cultures, (milk, urine, skin), patient monitoring devises (ETCo2, BP (doppler as well), tonovet, patient warming devises, fluid pumps, Bluetooth EKG/SPO2, two portable x-ray machines for large animals/house calls, a second portable ultrasound for lameness ultrasound, repro ultrasound, and companion laser therapy. We strive to all the tool and resources to practice the highest quality of medicine possible!
Our staff is extremely dedicated, energetic, and enjoy having a good time working together. We have strong ties to the community through various outreach programs, not-for-profit groups, and local schools. Our patient list is very diverse with about 1/3 of the practice being large animals (and growing). The large animal caseload consists of beef, dairy, small ruminants, camelids, and some swine. Our team strongly believes in teamwork, communication, work/life balance, high quality patient care.
Requirements
Housing
We are providing accommodations at a home in Ferndale, NY. You will have your own room but will need to share a bathroom.
First Day Orientation
Please plan to arrive at our 230 Rock Hill Drive, Suite 3, Rock Hill, NY location at 9:00 AM on the first Monday of the rotation. Orientation will begin promptly at that time to familiarize you with our team, facilities, and expectations for your rotation.
