Philadelphia Animal Specialty and Emergency (PASE) is seeking a driven Emergency Doctor to join our energetic and knowledgeable team! PASE is a young, privately-owned company in the heart of Philadelphia, a burgeoning and underrecognized but very metropolitan city.
We are looking for a doctor who is internship-trained or has at least one year of experience in emergency medicine. We seek an individual who fits in well with our team and who enjoys a collaborative and fast-paced environment, practicing a high level of medicine. We offer a mentorship program for new graduates and clinicians looking to transfer into ER, so we expect our ER doctor to be comfortable teaching others, although this is not the main focus of the job.
PASE is one of the best-staffed veterinary hospitals in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. We have boarded specialists in Critical Care, Radiology, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology in addition to our robust ER team. We offer competitive base pay with production and no negative accrual.
Our facility is equipped with two surgical suites, a dedicated imaging room, Olympus scopes, CT, 1.5T MRI, ultrasound (Aplio i700), digital radiology, in-house lab equipment, emergency ultrasound, and multi-parameter anesthetic monitoring equipment. Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional emergency care to patients across a wide range of presentations and acuity levels.
Collaborate with our boarded specialists to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for our patients.
Mentor new graduates and clinicians transitioning into emergency medicine as part of our mentorship program.
Work closely with our nursing staff and support team to provide outstanding service and communication to our patients' families.
Contribute to the advancement of veterinary medicine through participation in continuing education and professional development.
Foster an environment of respect, trust, and mutual support among all members of our healthcare team.

Requirements
Internship training in small animal or emergency medicine, or a minimum of one year of clinical experience in emergency medicine
Licensure in good standing to practice in Pennsylvania
Comfort mentoring and teaching new graduates or clinicians transitioning into ER
Commitment to practicing high standards of medicine and adhering to the veterinary code of ethics
Commitment to continuing education and professional growth
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
