Department of Veterinary Science
Lakehead University – Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada
Anticipated start date: August 1, 2026 or as soon as possible
Lakehead University’s newly established Department of Veterinary Science invites applications for six tenure-track or tenured faculty positions to support delivery of the Collaborative Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program (CDVMP), a partnership with the University of Guelph and the Ontario Veterinary College. The CDVMP is designed to address critical veterinary workforce needs in northern and rural communities.

- Veterinary Physiology
- Veterinary Anatomic Pathology
- Companion Animal Veterinary Practice
- Large Animal and Rural Community Veterinary Practice
- Food Animal Veterinary Practice and Herd Health
Successful candidates will contribute to a team-taught, accredited DVM curriculum, engage in independent and collaborative research, and participate in graduate and undergraduate teaching. Opportunities for adjunct appointment at OVC, interdisciplinary collaboration, and teaching in Lakehead’s Honours BSc and related programs are available.
